Learning beyond the classroom
Looking back on her university years, Hanh says the biggest change was not in her transcript but in the way she learns and works. Having initially focused mainly on doing well in class, she gradually took the initiative to seek out new experiences through marketing competitions, scientific research projects and part-time work.
Marketing competitions gave her hands-on exposure to real-world problems: researching markets, analyzing data, developing ideas, and presenting and defending them. Research, meanwhile, trained her to ask questions, verify information and stay with a problem over the long term. Balancing her studies, part-time jobs and extracurricular activities also taught her to set priorities and break large tasks into manageable steps.
After every project, Hanh takes time to reflect on what went well and what could be improved. Ideas that were not selected and results that fell short of expectations became lessons in accepting feedback and looking at problems from different angles. For her, once a goal is set, the point is to find a way to reach it rather than wait for perfect conditions.
A mother’s quiet support
Behind these achievements is the steady support of her mother. Hanh’s family consists of just the two of them. Her mother sat beside her as she learned her first letters and numbers, and has always backed her daughter’s choices despite her own demanding work.

Before starting university, Hanh once considered going straight to work to ease her mother’s burden, but she ultimately chose to continue her education. Throughout her studies she kept up strong grades while working part-time to cover part of her living expenses. She sees hardship not as a reason to stop, but as motivation to keep moving forward.
Better than yesterday, one step at a time
Hanh is candid that she has had her share of setbacks, unfinished tasks and moments of self-doubt. What kept her going was the belief that she did not need to be the best right away, as long as she kept improving on who she was the day before.

After graduation, Hanh hopes to keep learning in marketing and technology and to find a role where she can apply her knowledge and build experience. From there, she aims to lay a solid foundation for postgraduate study, take better care of her family and create positive value for the people around her.
The Faculty of Marketing – PTIT warmly congratulates Nguyen Thi Hanh on her outstanding achievement and wishes her every success in the next chapter. Her journey is an inspiration to future generations of PTIT Marketing students: success does not come from being perfect from the start, but from the persistence to keep learning every day.
