In 2016, the Department of Marketing was established with the responsibility of managing the Marketing program and organizing the delivery of Marketing-related courses across all training systems, modes, and levels assigned by the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) to the Posts and Telecommunications Economics Institute (PTEI). The Department is also responsible for planning and implementing scientific research and technological activities, promoting international cooperation, collaborating with scientific and technological organizations as well as businesses related to its fields of study, and encouraging industry participation in the educational process.
In addition, the Department develops and implements plans for political, ideological, ethical, and lifestyle education for faculty members and students in the Marketing program; formulates plans for faculty development, academic program enhancement, and facilities improvement to support teaching and research activities; strengthens quality assurance conditions; proposes organizational and personnel adjustments related to the Marketing program; manages faculty members and students within the discipline; conducts evaluations in accordance with PTIT regulations; participates in the evaluation of academic administrators; implements policies, directives, resolutions, and regulations issued by higher authorities; coordinates with and supports the Trade Union, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and other organizations in carrying out their functions and responsibilities; and organizes emulation movements promoting excellence in teaching, learning, and other activities within the Posts and Telecommunications Economics Institute and the Faculty of Business Administration II.
The Department of Marketing operates under the unified management of PTIT in all aspects of curriculum implementation and serves as a teaching and research unit specializing in Marketing. The Department currently offers the following specializations:

Digital Marketing Data Analytics
The Department participates in undergraduate education through full-time, part-time, and distance-learning programs. Its curricula are designed to ensure continuity and articulation among educational levels, enabling students to pursue advanced studies at institutions offering Master’s and Doctoral programs in Marketing and other economics-related disciplines.
As a unit of the Posts and Telecommunications Economics Institute, the Department of Marketing aspires to become a core contributor to the Institute’s goal of becoming “a leading unit with strong potential and expertise in research, education, consulting, and knowledge transfer in business, management, and digital marketing, serving societal development in the context of digital transformation and international integration.”
The Department pursues this vision by excelling in education and research in the fields of marketing, digital marketing, communications, and public relations within the digital environment. Specifically, it aims to:
Provide high-quality and standardized educational programs in digital marketing, communications, and public relations.
Promote applied research activities in digital marketing, communications, and public relations.
Strengthen connections between the university and business networks operating in the fields of digital marketing, communications, and public relations.
Currently, the Department of Marketing is responsible for organizing and managing the teaching of nearly 100 Marketing-related courses for students in Marketing and other disciplines, including Finance, E-Commerce, Business Administration, and Multimedia Communications.
Its key responsibilities include:
Developing, updating, improving, and refining educational objectives, curricula, course content, textbooks, lecture materials, teaching resources, and teaching methods across different educational levels, training systems, and professional development programs assigned by PTIT.
Managing and implementing approved training plans in accordance with the schedule, objectives, curricula, content, and teaching methods authorized by the President of PTIT.
Directly managing both high-quality and standard undergraduate Marketing programs, as well as the Public Relations training program.
Managing students in accordance with PTIT’s assignments and regulations.
